Pink Possum Pair

A pair of Pink Ace Frames I made for Kelly Doty.
Mike Pike Liner

A sweet little liner frame from Mike Pike.
Antiqued O.G. Walker

This is an iron OG Walker Shader I made for Chris Smith. An antique patina and lacquer finish on the frame, and matching copper foil coil covers.
LOST

I was a huge LOST fan. Best show ever. So when I was approached to do a pair of machines with this theme, I was all over it. The coils are topped with pennies from 1974. The upright on the Clipper has Hurleys lottery numbers stamped in the side. The Pilot has the hieroglyphics on the coils and laser engraved on the side…. Lots of little pieces from the show in these machines.
For the photos, Johnny and I set up a whole diorama including beach sand, a jungle, and of course, a model of a crashed Oceanic Flight 815.
SO FUN.
Lime Rusto

White and Lime Green Rusto Liner.
Jensen Weld-up

A Jensen side plate I got from Mike Pike.
Green Clipper

This Clipper was going to be for the LOST pair, but I stamped one of the numbers on the upright backwards! It sat on the bench for months until I decided to play with a new green patina. I loved how the finish turned out, so I built it up. Some tines, mistakes work out….
Gogue Shader

Sometimes, I do trades with other tattooers and painters for special machines. Jeff Gogue had a painting I HAD to have, so I offered to make him a special machine as a partial trade for the painting. Lucky for me, he agreed!
I wanted to really make something cool for him. The coil and shoulder washers I made myself by laminating fabric and resin, and laser cutting out the washer shapes. The frame has an antiqued copper patina and the coils are embossed copper foil. I used antique wire insulation to tie it all together. I really loved making this one! Thanks Jeff!
Dingwell Clipper

Another of my favorite tattooer/painters is Chris Dingwell. He was passing out flyers for one of his seminars and the painting featured was (of course) super cool! I immediately jacked it for coil graphics. Luckily, he liked how it turned out, and we eventually did a limited edition run using his art for the coils. This one features a transparent chrome like powder coat and the washers I hand made by casting pigmented resin into washer shapes. Very cool. Very fun.
Copper Phantom 5

The fifth Phantom frame. Copper plated, antiqued and lacquered. My digital painting of Phantom Arrows for coil graphics sealed in resin. These guys all came in custom painted and laser engraved boxes. I think I did 30 of these….
